On April 13, 2016, CivicSpark Americorps Fellow Carrie Metzgar presented SB 379 legislation information to Planning Directors of the Gateway Cities Council of Governments. The presentation included a brief overview of climate change impacts with discussion of how impacts may effect the four main planning areas of the Gateway COG, including transportation, air quality, housing, and economic development. The presentation continues with an overview of SB 379 requirements with emphasis on the three key components of compliance and the important time frames to keep in mind. Additional resources to support SB 379 implementation are provided in the conclusion.
